Theres nobody here for me now.
Close those eyes down,
We all fall down,
Into the space,
Gone with no trace,
Feel your heart slow,
Where will we go,
Into the sunlight,
Or the dead of night.
Theres nobody here for me now,
Theres nobody here for me now,
Theres nobody here for me now.
We all fall down,
Into the space,
Gone with no trace,
Feel your heart slow,
Where will we go,
Into the sunlight,
Or the dead of night.
Theres nobody here for me now,
Theres nobody here for me now,
Theres nobody here for me now.

Where the Wild Things Are…& the Kids
"Getting back to blogging life.) Everyone is probably aware that one of the most hip ’seemingly child-movie’/art-bro stuff ofwhere the wild things are the year is coming up. Where the Wild Things Are gathered massive anticipation and its indie-appeal has something to do with the soundtrack, I guess. The soundtrack is by Karen O and the Kids, in which the Kids have such names as Bradford Cox, Dean Fertita, Aaron Hemphill among others, so it’s a super-group. Wow. Without having seen the movie, I can say that the soundtrack is perfect for the world that the trailers projected. It’s surprising that it actually has good songs and it’s fun to listen to. Hard to achieve this while trying to sound like innocence, enchantment, dreamy, primordial, arty, etc. I’d say that they go back to some sorta roots, some country and folk but it has an experimental twist and it’s mixed with childish elements. The whole thing is very atmospheric and you can sense that you’re being pushed to immerse in a new mood. Karen O’s vocals are definetly highlights, she is just amazing…I mean this is quite different stuff than YYYs but she can even pretend to be a story-in-bed-mother an her voice delivers. This is not gonna be a traditional tale, let’s hope that Jonze’s movie is going to have the virtue of nice and, on the surface, simple story-telling and the alt, arty elements will blend in and just help with the magic."

Novos dias tristes, noites claras...
Não quero lhe falar,
Meu grande amor,
Das coisas que aprendi
Nos discos...
Quero lhe contar como eu vivi
E tudo o que aconteceu comigo
Viver é melhor que sonhar
Eu sei que o amor
É uma coisa boa
Mas também sei
Que qualquer canto
É menor do que a vida
De qualquer pessoa...

Simian Mobile Disco - O Regresso.
"Huge? It's got that pair of English guys who did "Hustler" and "I Believe"-- whose old band did the song their loucher peers Justice turned into a transatlantic model for late-2000s house-as-rock hedonism. Huge? It's got that guy with the lusty shaman quaver from Yeasayer. Huge? It's got that Chemical Brothers. You know it's got that Barack Obama. It's got that "grape Kool-Aid-filled swimming pool," with bass-line pool furniture and pitch-tweaked choral Marco Polo, all under a lofty laserarium sky. Huge.
In short, new Simian Mobile Disco single "Audacity of Huge"-- from upcoming album Temporary Pleasure, the follow-up to 2007's small-scale smash Attack Decay Sustain Release-- is a limber, name-dropping, ear-catching body-mover, sleek and uncluttered and populist. Just to seal the deal, one of the most crossover-friendly electronic dance groups works with Chris Keating, singer for one of Brooklyn's more popular hippie art-rock groups. I can see "Audacity of Huge" being... well, pretty big. So why can't I get that into it?"

I felt you so much today
But here comes the fall
So much for make-believe, I'm not sold
So much of dreams, deceit, I'm not prepared to know
Your heart makes me feel
Your heart makes me bold

Incurable paranoiac. Hysterical depression.
Lying on my back. I heard music.
Felt unsure and catastrophic. Had to tell myself it's only music.
It blows my mind, but it's like that.
Is anyone there? What could you tell me?
Afraid of what? Would you ever know?
Everyone else is really boring.
Anyone else wouldn't be good enough.
Some place safe I would imagine.
Someone new would be so cruel.
Incurable paranoiac. Hysterical depression.

Distant from other interests
On your favorite weekend ending
This love's for gentlemen only
That's with the fortunate only
No I gotta be someone else

É conforme, vamos continuar viver o momento”.

I know your not ready to live. Are you ready to die?
This is low this is low life
A world where people walk by night
So by day an average man
But night time brings the creature from the can
Sometimes you scream out loud
But there's always safety from the crowd
You're not alone you're not alone you know

You're killing me again. Am I still in your head?
If I was to walk away
From you, my love
Could I laugh again?
If I walk away from you
And leave my love
Could I laugh again?
Again, again...
You're killing me again
Am I still in your head?
You used to light me up
Now you shut me down

My heart, still beats, for you...
Hard to believe how people move
Falling out of love with you
Tearing down all the walls and love, the chaos
Thought again, of driving by, the place we meet
You and I, where it started, how we lived, together always
My heart, still beats, for you
My heart, still beats, for you
After all, it's always you

I would die for this feeling...
Give all my soul for this deadly feeling of love
Now I feel that the day has come
The day has come
You're calling me across the beautiful sky
My heart is crashing against the rocks
Responding fiercely as I face your dark eyes
I walk to you, I swear I have wings
I was flying the magical day we fell in love
Two hearts unchained
Flying...

Jintro & The Great Luna
Jintro Sarto's got them blues again
Right in the corner of his eye
Eases his metal minding
heart on cherry beer
Tellin' crap sidewalk stories
Tryin' to get back in the
middle of the road
I says we're halfway there
Man, I don't care
I don't give a shit
And I never will
Jintro and the Great Luna
And a broken man and a wronged wife
A twisted soul
And one more call for alcohol
Mingo Mango
This is the day of doom
Spit your fire, I'll go down soon
But ain't you gonna tell me
What you want me to do
About wanting you
Oh, Baby
What ya want me to do
Jintro Sarto's got them blues again
Oh, Baby, every morning in my head
The skies are sad
And the sun comes up
And blind my eyes from behind
Jintro's mad, Jintro's sad
Jintro's got a broken head
Jintro wants a cigarette
Takes his broken mind to bed
Now I'm gone and now I'm dead
Oh, Baby, I wish we never met
Oh, Baby,
What ya want me to do
What ya want me, what ya
want me to do, Baby
I'll be a goddamn
I'll be a goddamn fool for you, Baby
Jintro Sarto, Jintro Sarto's
got them blues again

Let's get lost...
Let's get lost, all right, all right
Let's get lost, all right
You know a place where we can go
Ask your money, get your money on a stool
Let's get lost, all right, all right
Let's get out and hold me some more
It's crazy, it's crazy, it's crazy, it's crazy, crazy
In my own words

I know that it’s true It’s gonna be a good year...
you took your sweet time
and i waited by without complaint
till all the bad dreams-made me insane
so its all over
its all over anyhow
you took your sweet time
finally i opened my eyes
my friends and my family
they are asking of me
how long will you ramble
how long will you still repeat
the snow is still falling
and I'm almost home
i see a new year

You said the world's a GIRL...
You said the world's a girl
And I'm taking her apart
And when I cried you said
Beggar girl laugh
When my protests went wild
You brushed me aside
Like the finger of a child
When I closed my eyes
You took me from the pedestal
Down to the abyss
My soul was but consumed
I thought you were inspired
But you were just possessed
Now I have moved on
Your face is nearly gone
But your words hold me still
Silence to my will
ARE YOU READY, BOOTS?
You keep playing where you shouldn't be playing
And you keep thinking that you'll never get burnt
Dance dance dance ’til you’re dead
You can last
Take the past
Shut your eyes
Realize
Oh oh
Off off off with your head
Dance dance dance til you’re dead

Turva o meu triste olhar, marmorizado,
Olhar de monja, trágico, gelado
Como um soturno e enorme Campo Santo!
Ah! nunca mais amá-lo é já bastante!
Quero senti-lo d’outra, bem distante,
Como se fora meu, calma e serena!
Ódio seria em mim saudade infinda,
Mágoa de o ter perdido, amor ainda.
Ódio por ele? Não... não vale a pena...

\\\ LA ROUX /// IN FOR THE KILL
We can fight our desires
But when we start making fires
We get ever so hot
Whether we like it or not
They say we can love who we trust
But what is love without lust?
Two hearts with accurate devotions
And what are feelings without emotions?
I'm going in for the kill
I'm doing it for a thrill
Oh I'm hoping you'll understand
And not let go of my hand
I hang my hopes out on the line
Will they be ready for you in time
If you leave them out too long
They'll be withered by the sun
Full stops and exclamation marks
My words stumble before I start
How far can you send emotions?
Can this bridge cross the ocean?
Let's go to war
To make peace
Let's be cold
To create heat
I hope in darkness
We can see
And you're not blinded by the light from me
We can fight our desires
But when we start making fires
We get ever so hot
Whether we like it or not
They say we can love who we trust
But what is love without lust?

We Have Band
"If the Horrors went 80s induced disco you might balk at the concept, yet the beginning of We Have Band's debut 'Oh' sounds exactly like that with a broody hook which runs with the disco feel.
Cramming in Hot Chip beeps with Talking Head’s rhythm the concoction is a frantic, itchy marrying of sounds which wouldn’t be out of place on the Skins soundtrack, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The frenetic repetition of “Oh / oh / oh” skips over the macabre disco and despite the heavy electro influence it is more new wave than new rave, which in the post-mortem of the Klaxons aftermath is defiantly in their favour. These are The Rapture of the new generation; as filthy as The Faint with a pinch of futuristic-pop to match the heavy laying of programming and drums.
It’s the most chilled disco-funk ever - it’s almost electro-by-numbers except for the fact it manifests itself into the catchiest, most danceable song ever transcending any influence gained from the likes of ADULT and Fischerspooner and creating a whole new, addictive sound."

Much more than I needed to win
And much more than I wanted to dream
I must have felt so much pain
It’s funny how some things do remain
It isn’t true that things do change
Isn’t it strange how pain remains

Mickey and Sylvia - Love is strange
Acordei com a música no ouvido :)
Love, love is strange
Lot of people take it for a game
Once you get it
You'll never wanna quit
Love, love is strange
Lot of people take it for a game
Once you get it
You'll never wanna quit

Are you not the same as you used to be...
even if i try so hard
would we still be coming to an end
even if we spoke the same words
would we still turn each phrase
even if its simple rock stars
we were given pieces of the heart
and when there is nothing left to pretend
we will know its coming to an end
even if we try so hard
we were given pieces of our heart
its always good to see you again
even if its coming to an end

I'm a stranger in town. But if you were here would you ease my mind?
If you were here
Would you calm me down or settle the score
The feelings I fight burn so bright
I'm a stranger in town
But if you were here would you ease my mind? C'mon.
The sleep fled from my eyes
And I, I know that I need some
Give a thought to the one that you know.
Oh, oh would you calm Me down
When the breath gets shallow and fast
We put on the clinic
if you were here,
if you were here,
would you calm me down,
or settle the score
It felt good to me
Can’t you see I’m losing it
Must I set up the scene
Put on a clinic but I need you right
Would you ease my mind?
The ghost of you lingers
Put on a clinic till we hit the Wall
it lingers
Just like a sailor with his wounds being salted
I had a nightmare nothing could be put back together
Would you settle the score
If you were here would you calm me down
The ghost of you lingers
It lingers and I sleep a bit
Oh wont you calm me down.

Oh, leave me something to breathe...
Weve lost our chance.
Were the first and the last, ooh,
After the blast.
Chips of plutonium
Are twinkling in every lung.

I'm on Fire...
Hey little girl is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
Im on fire
Tell me now baby is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
Im on fire
Sometimes its like someone took a knife baby
Edgy and dull and cut a six-inch valley
Through the middle of my soul
At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
And a freight train running through the
Middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
Im on fire

Kris Menace
"Kris Menace is set to release a three-disc set of his work in April. Entitled Idiosyncrasies, the collection will feature 37 Menace productions, including his 2005 hit "Discopolis" the track that propelled him to fame after it got picked up by UK label Defected. Menace's previous collaborations with Alan Braxe, Lifelike and Fred Kris Falke are all included on the first CD, in addition to new material from his sessions with Felix Da Housecat, and UK breakbeat acts Spooky and Hexstatic, while disc two is generally more relaxed in tone, with Menace experimenting with atmospheric electronica and warm, blissful ambience. As if that wasn't enough, you get an extra CD which compiles eleven of Menace's major label remixes, including re-rubs of The Presets, Metronomy, LCD Soundsystem and Underworld. Compuphonic/New State Music will release Idiosyncrasies in April 2009."

Crystal Antlers
Crystal Antlers "Andrew"
"Crystal Antlers were once a band of chimneysweeps-doing door-to-door hustle with broom and top hat all across the same California suburbs responsible for Saccharine Trust and the Middle Class, and after a long day up on the roof they'd return to write songs that went spiraling into space. (Early favorites like "Parting Song For The Torn Sky" and "Until The Sun Dies, Part 2"-even then, they were always looking up!) They covered Mose Allison and Chocolate Watchband, had their van stolen and then returned because of their sheer karmic purity, and grew from a viciously untamed bar band to fringe-psych explorers of the first order. Their first full-length Tentacles presents their permanent line-up-singer/bassist Jonny Bell, guitarist Andrew King, drummer Kevin Stuart, organist Victor Rodriguez, percussionist Damian Edwards and original guitarist Errol Davis back for reinforcement-in full roar.
By now, they've played almost everywhere: shows at the shuttered Mondo Video-home of various outré porn shoots, where photos of band members' vitals were reportedly displayed on the wall-and at biker (leather kind, not spandex kind) fests in Vegas and metal fests in Reno and hill-top tee-pees in Los Angeles and even aboard a supercharged speedboat cutting messy diagonals in the Pacific with Crystal Antlers planted resolutely between the amplifiers and the mini-fridge. Their veggie-powered national schoolbus tour this summer burned in their road credentials, but they have their sea legs, too. (In fact, Bell is a certified Sea Scout-the amphibious division of the Boy Scouts.) By the time their self-titled EP (produced by the Mars Volta's keyboardist Ikey Owens) was re-released on Touch and Go-and by the time it got an 8.5 rating on Pitchfork that predicted a "triumphant full-length"-they'd already sold five thousand copies by word-of-mouth. By the time you read this, that full-length will be finished.
Tentacles finds the Antlers exploding through the unclaimed space between .60s garage toughs like the Music Machine and the Misunderstood, red-eyed noiseniks like Guru Guru and Les Rallizes Denudes (whose ever-present turbine whine serves as the sound of the Crystal Antlers' circulatory system) and the mechanized motor-soul of Osmium-era Parliament. Raw want meets raw power on songs like the title track and "Until The Sun Dies Part 1," which push "Black To Comm" break-outs into "What's Goin' On?" sentiments while the trademark Antlers organ howls at lights on the horizon. Between the screamers come the scenery-the Pharoah Sanders-style sax snippets that confetti the end of "Sun Dies," the gentle oceanic drone-poem "Vapor Trail," the album intro that sounds like Blue Cheer chasing Terry Riley's "Rainbow In Curved Air." It's an album that functions as an organism-it breathes, it sleeps, it wakes up hungry and ready to chase something down."

Passion Pit
"Passion Pit’s first EP, a flawed yet charming little electronica ditty, seems too personal and inside-joke laden to get a fair critical take. Chunk of Change was Michael Angelakos’ belated Valentine’s Day gift for his girlfriend, but it was made public by Frenchkiss, the dudes who brought us Les Savy Fav and the Hold Steady. Chunk of Change almost certainly works better as a mixtape for Angelakos’ sweetheart than for a larger audience, but there’s still plenty of intrigue and promise to be found mixed in among the more-than-occasional annoyance.
Some see Chunk of Change closer/first single “Sleepyhead” as the standout, but that track doesn't do it for me. "Sleepyhead" simply seems like a late-'90s pop-hip-hop song minus the rap. The song that most grabbed my attention was opener “I’ve Got Your Number,” maybe the first one I’ve ever heard that I’d willingly describe as “electro-twee” and certainly the first one close to that style that I liked. It's the only time on the album that Passion Pit was able to draw some genuine pathos that extended beyond in-joke material. The other promising tracks are either bogged down by vague self-righteousness (the funky “Cuddle Fuddle”) or have all their power destroyed by poaching (the chorus of “Smile Upon Me” was stolen directly from “All My Friends”).
Despite Chunk of Change's flaws, Angelakos shows real promise as an innovative electronic-song weaver. Promise is, of course, what EPs are supposed to show, not immediate brilliance. Even still, Passion Pit’s style feels dated by a few years. Angelakos certainly has the tools to carve his niche, but he may have to whittle his niche a little differently in the longer term."

Have you seen me cry
tears like diamonds?
Down and down they fly,
Faster and faster
Like the speed of our love
Batting a thousand
But a home run crack at love
This is where I tell you that
I know love's what I need to work at

Magic Wands
WHITE LIGHT MY TIME HAS COME...
"The story behind the formation of The Magic Wands, AKA Chris and Dexy Valentine, is like the plotline of some lost American literary classic. The first time the two of them met was for five minutes outside a gig in Hollywood in 2006 when Chris was visiting Los Angeles for the weekend. A year later and back in Nashville Chris found a song on MySpace that he listened to repeatedly called ‘Teenage Love’. When he discovered it was a song by Dexy he sent her a message."
There is a crescent key
that locks a hole in the door
into the pit of your heart
the future is the reward
white light my time has come
all night out on the run from black magic

Bat For Lashes - Two Suns
I FOUND A HOME IN YOUR EYES
"Bat for Lashes second album sees Brighton's Natasha Khan introducing some special guests, notably Scott Walker and Yeasayer, and, more bizarrely, her alter-ego, Pearl, described by the press release as "a destructive, self-absorbed, blonde, femme fatale of a persona who acts as a direct foil to Khan's more mystical, desert-born spiritual self."
The bombastic release goes on to explain that the follow-up to Mercury Music Prize nominated Fur and Gold is "a record of modern-day fables exploring dualities on a number of levels – two lovers, two planets, two sides of a personality," with Khan meditating on "the philosophy of the self and duality, examining the need for both chaos and balance, for both love and pain, in addition to touching on metaphysical ideas concerning the connections between all existence."
Daniel, when I first saw you
I knew that you had a flame in your heart
And under wild blue skies
Marlboro ruby skies
I found a home in your eyes
And we'd never be apart
